How I Met Ashley…
Hey y’all my name is Ashley, I am a senior here at UCF majoring in communication sciences and disorders to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and work with special needs children. I’m originally from Austin, Texas but have lived in Orlando for most of my life. I absolutely love to travel it’s a big passion that I have and I am up for going anywhere, but my favorite place in the entire world that I’ve been to is Laguna Beach! If I’m not day-dreaming about Laguna or studying, you’ll find me watching Gilmore Girls, Friends, the Bachelor/ette or YouTube because chances are I’m watching one of them. Also, I enjoy watching any kind of sports because I love them all especially softball.
I joined Phi Lamb the Fall of my sophomore year, I was apart of the Nu New Member class (try saying that 5 times fast) and fell in love with phi lamb straight away. Growing up I was very shy, quiet and reserved. I grew up going to church every Sunday but I never had that group of friends who talked about Christ much in school or had that youth group community at my church. So when I heard about phi lamb I was so nervous about joining because I didn’t know anybody going into it and joining a sorority, I never thought that was something for me. But boy looking back if I didn’t take the leap into the unknown, I would have missed out on so many things in my life. I’ve met my best friends in phi lamb and I was able to be surround myself by a group of girls who want to spread God’s name and make His name great, girls who are always there for me when I’m struggling in life or school, and girls who make every Sunday night filled with laughs and love. I’m very excited to be serving Phi Lamb as President this year and can’t wait to see what is planned for Phi Lamb this year, along with meeting all the potential new sisters!
